Coding is a hot topic in Australia. Many schools are teaching young kids to code. However, there is a big gap between coding and the importance of coding?
Ask any kid why they code, and the answer will be mostly that it is fun! And we agree, coding is fun but it is A LOT MORE fun when we know how to apply it
This term, TechCamps4Kids will be teaching kids 8 to 12 coding with a difference. With over 2 years of working with kids throughout Western Australia, TechCamps4Kids have put together a curriculum to give kids an introduction to a range of coding languages. Besides learning a few more languages, kids will begin to understand Digital/Computer Literacy. And more importantly, have a greater understanding of code and coding!
With the first session starting off with the 80’s, kids can expect to learn the foundations to coding. And ultimately, apply the same concept to all languages that follow! [A clip of an 80’s coding movie “War Games” can be seen above]
