TechCamps4Kids selected as WA finalist for Telstra Business Awards

This year, TechCamps4Kids was selected as a finalist for the WA Telstra Business Awards for 2017. If we could use two words to describe this event, one would be ‘Grateful’ and the other would be ‘Epic’.
We use the word ‘grateful’, as we have met so many amazing people along the way that has helped us and directed us to the position we are in today. Of course, we are no where near the end goal, but as we teach kids in goal setting – set a goal, strive for it and along the way – evaluate your achievements.
Epic is used because a small little business went up against big companies. While we are making a difference in kids lives, other nominees are helping shape communities by offering jobs, developing products and disrupting the marketing with innovative tech ideas. In a way, we hope that the kids we impact today will be these people of the future.
With this Telstra Awards Journey, we were featured in the WA Sunday Times, interviewed by a number of reporters for different media channels and was seen on the 6pm Channel News. And all this happened – just before and during the holidays.
EPIC and GRATEFUL – for sure!
